My lovely wife and I were up at the Lit Cigar Lounge last Thursday night for the Casa Magna and Quesada Cigar event. Believe it or not, it was snowing from Issaquah all the way up to the Casino, plus Hwy 18 was closed westbound. Unbelievable...What month is this again? Great way to start Spring, eh?
Anyway, while I was in the humidor trying to make up my mind, my friend Narong recommended that I try a cigar that he really likes - the Casa Magna Donus Magnus Limitada.
Wrapper: Nicaragua Sun Grown
Size: 4.75 x 50
So what did I think? Loved it!
I've been smoking a lot of really BIG cigars lately, so when I first held this little gem in my hand, I thought it looked kind of puny - just a short little box pressed guy. But...
What it may have lacked in size, it delivers in all the other categories. After the first few puffs I thought to myself that this is the perfect cigar...
Super smooth, but not necessarily mild by any means. I'd consider it to be medium to full bodied. The draw and amount of smoke on each puff is absolutely perfect for my taste - big plumes of smoke, but not a smoke bomb. Taste is delicious, of course. Maybe towards the end of the cigar it might not have been as good as the beginning, but overall just an excellent, excellent smoke!
Would I buy it again? Really? You have to ask?
I've always liked the Casa Magna line and I would recommend that you smoke this beauty nice and slow...it tends to catch up with you, if you know what I mean.
Guess where I'll be for New Year's Eve this year? Tahitian Islands. Just booked it.
